Privacy
What Loclis collects, why, and what it does not do with it.
What Loclis collects
Account information (name, email, phone, password hash). Service addresses you add. Orders, subscriptions, memberships and their payment records. Messages you exchange with providers. Reviews you write. Referral clicks and attributions, including an anonymous visitor identifier stored in a cookie. Search queries, which are recorded in aggregate to identify questions worth answering.
Providers additionally supply business details, credentials, service areas and — if they choose to use GovCon features — a government contracting profile and company documents.
Payment data
Loclis does not store card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe; Loclis stores the payment reference, amount, status and the card brand and last four digits returned by the processor.
What Loclis shares
With the provider fulfilling your job: your name, service address, contact details, scheduling preferences and job notes. Nothing more.
With payment and infrastructure processors, only as needed to run the service.
Loclis does not sell personal information, and does not sell leads — including your contact details — to anyone.
Public information
Reviews you write are published with your first name and last initial. Provider shop pages, services, prices, ratings and verified credentials are public and are published as structured data so that search and answer engines can read them accurately. Customer names and addresses are never included in that structured data.
Cookies
A session cookie keeps you signed in. An anonymous visitor cookie makes referral attribution work. Both are first-party and functional. Loclis does not run third-party advertising trackers.
AI processing
Where AI features are enabled, the specific records needed for the task (for example a provider's own government profile and past performance, or a solicitation document) are sent to the model provider to generate an assessment or draft. Customer personal information is not sent for these features. AI output is labelled as AI output throughout the product.
Which model provider Loclis uses is a configuration choice and may change; the current provider is named on request at contact@loclis.com. A model provider's own terms govern what it does with what it receives, and those terms differ between providers. Do not put anything into a GovCon document or AI prompt that you would not be willing to send to a third-party processor.
Matching, scoring, compliance extraction and the red-team checks are deterministic and run whether or not an AI model is configured, so turning AI off does not turn the product off.
Photos you upload
Photos attached to a repair request, a dispute, or a provider's shop are stored with the record they belong to. A dispute photo is visible to the other party in that dispute and to Loclis. Shop and service imagery is public. Do not upload anything you would not want the other party to that transaction to see.
Retention and your rights
Transaction and financial records are retained as required for accounting and tax purposes. Other data is retained while your account is active. You can request access, correction or deletion at contact@loclis.com.
