In one sentence
Loclis is a Virginia marketplace for local service businesses: describe a job once, get quotes from licensed pros, pay only when you book.
In a paragraph
Loclis is a local services marketplace built in Blacksburg and serving all of Virginia. Customers describe a job once and licensed local businesses send quotes; nothing is charged until the customer books one. Every contractor in the Loclis directory is listed from Virginia DPOR’s licence register with its licence number and class, and Loclis never sells leads: businesses list and quote for free and pay a booking fee only when they get paid.
What is different about it
- No leads for sale. A customer’s request is not sold to several companies at once. A business pays only on a booking that happened. Pricing has the details.
- Licences shown with their source and date. Each listing prints what the state register said and when it was read, with a link to check it on DPOR’s own lookup. How Loclis checks businesses.
- Honest quotes for jobs that cannot be priced blind. A business can answer “I need to see it first” and offer an estimate visit; a paid visit fee comes off its price. How it works.
- Answers with sources. Guides on licences, permits and contracts in Virginia, each one citing the Code of Virginia, DPOR or the agency that sets the rule. Answers.
