That is every sale. Separately, if this provider had also sent Loclis a $100 customer of their own, they would hold $7 of referral credit, and it would pay down this $10 fee to $3. The fee is always 10%. Referrals are what reduce the bill, not a different rate.

Loclis operators can change the Loclis service fee and the booking and payment fee without a code change. This page always shows what is actually in effect right now, not a marketing number.

Questions people actually ask

Does Loclis sell leads?
No. Loclis has never sold a lead and does not intend to. A lead charges a business for the chance of work. Loclis charges only when a customer actually books and pays through it.
What does it cost a provider to join?
Nothing. Creating a Shop, listing services, appearing in Discover and appearing in Loclis Answers are all free. Providers pay a 10% booking and payment fee on each payment Loclis collects for them. It is a charge for those services, not a commission on the job.
What does a customer pay?
The service price set by the provider, plus a 5% Loclis service fee for booking and payment processing, with a $0.99 minimum. The two are shown as separate lines at checkout before you pay.
Who am I paying?
The provider. You buy the service from the business named on the listing and contract with them directly. Loclis collects your payment as that business's agent, so paying Loclis pays the provider.
Does the Loclis service fee include a guarantee?
No. The fee pays for booking, payment processing and dispute handling, and nothing else. If a job goes wrong, Loclis may choose to refund its own fees on it. That is a refund of Loclis's fees, not insurance and not a promise about the provider's work.
Can a provider pay to rank higher?
No. Ranking is computed from verified reviews, completed jobs, verified credentials, response time and service-area coverage. The weights are published on every ranked page.
How do referral credits work?
A provider who refers a customer to any eligible Loclis service earns 7% of that transaction as provider credit, which is applied against their own booking and payment fees. Customers who refer someone earn $20 in Loclis credit toward their own services.
What happens when a job is refunded?
Both fees are reversed proportionally. A fully refunded order nets Loclis nothing and costs the provider nothing.
When does a provider get paid?
When the customer pays, the payment settles into the provider's own Stripe account, less Loclis's fees. It never sits in Loclis's balance. Stripe then pays it out to the provider's bank on that account's payout schedule.
How long does license verification take?
Up to 3 business days from upload. A shop is live and bookable straight away. It is the verified badge that waits, because Loclis will not show one for something a person has not actually checked.
